鹿児島県鹿児島市出身のクラシック音楽の指揮者。読売日本交響楽団正指揮者、上野学園大学教授、広島ウインドオーケストラ音楽監督。
　鹿児島市立武中学校、鹿児島県立甲南高等学校、鹿児島大学教育学部音楽科卒業。当初は音楽教師になろうと考えていたが指揮者になることを決意し、桐朋学園大学音楽学部附属指揮教室で指揮を学ぶ。イタリアキジアーナ音楽院指揮科ディプロマ取得。1997年から1999年まで朝比奈隆音楽監督時代の大阪フィルハーモニー交響楽団で指揮研究員を務める。1999年文化庁派遣芸術家在外研修員に選ばれ、同年9月より1年間ウィーン国立音楽大学に留学、その後も2001年6月まで在籍した。<br>2000年に東京国際音楽コンクールで優勝。2001年には小澤征爾が優勝したことでも知られるフランスのブザンソン国際指揮者コンクールでも優勝した。その後、2008年2月の定期演奏会でNHK交響楽団を、同8月のサイトウ・キネン・フェスティバル松本でサイトウ・キネン・オーケストラを指揮するなど（2010年9月の同フェスティバル、12月のニューヨーク・カーネギーホールでのコンサートでも小澤征爾の代役として一部演目で同オーケストラを指揮）、現在では国内の主なオーケストラを多く指揮している。また、イタリアやフランスを中心にヨーロッパでも活動している。
　デビューCDである大栗裕作品集 / 大阪フィルハーモニー交響楽団（ナクソス）は、2003年にワールド・リリースされた。2004年9月には、川久保賜紀のヴァイオリン独奏、新日本フィルハーモニー交響楽団との協演でメンデルスゾーンとチャイコフスキーのヴァイオリン協奏曲のCD（エイベックス・クラシック）をリリース。2006年7月には、大阪フィルハーモニー交響楽団とのブルックナー交響曲第0番のCD（エイベックス・クラシック）がリリースされた。

2006年11月、新設された読売日本交響楽団の正指揮者のポストに3年の契約で就任した。この就任披露演奏会のライブCD（[ヨハン・ゼバスティアン・バッハ|[バッハ]]/斎藤秀雄編シャコンヌ、コリリアーノ交響曲第1番）が、2008年3月エイベックス・クラシックからリリースされた。なお、正指揮者のポストはさらに2013年3月まで延長されたことがすでに発表されている。2009年10月にはチェコ・フィルハーモニー管弦楽団定期演奏会に客演し、そのライブ録音R･シュトラウス交響詩『英雄の生涯』が2010年6月にリリースされた。
2011年1月、広島市を拠点に活動する吹奏楽団である広島ウインドオーケストラの音楽監督に就任し、吹奏楽団の在り方に新たな風を吹かせそうだと期待されている。
　下野の音楽は、真摯な楽譜の読みに裏づけされた新しい提起を行うことが多く、それが新鮮な音楽となって聞こえてくるとの評が多い。また、各音楽誌での専門家による将来期待される指揮者アンケートでも上位にランクされることが多く、いま最も将来を嘱望される若手指揮者の一人と言われている。

桐朋学園大学卒業。鹿児島新人演奏会・県知事賞。フッペル平和祈念鳥栖ピアノコンクールグランプリ。オウルンサロ音楽祭(フィンランド)、セヴラック音楽祭(フランス)などに出演。11年、東京オペラシティにてソロリサイタルを行う。現在、舘野泉氏の唯一の弟子及び共演者として研鑽を積む。師と共演したＣＤは「アイノラ抒情曲集」、「祈り・・・子守歌」。

1948年生。早稲田大学を経てその後桐朋学園に学ぶ。1970〜1976東京交響楽団、1977〜1985新日本フィルハーモニー交響楽団に在籍。共に首席奏者を務める。新日本フィル定期演奏会他でソリストとして在京楽団と多く共演。退団後、フリーの演奏家として現代音楽、古楽器の演奏等を始めとする様々な音楽のジャンルで活躍している。桐朋学園大学講師

浜野考史（はまの　たかし、Vn）：東京音大卒。全日本学生音楽コンクール上位入賞。これまでに東京シティフィルのコンサートマスター、YAMATO弦楽四重奏団１ｓｔＶｎを務めた。現在、Theater orchestra Tokyo、東京ニューシティ管弦楽団のコンサートマスターを務める。 ＣＤに「山田耕作室内楽全曲」、「日本弦楽三重奏曲の世界 1 & 2 」（ミッテンヴァルドレーベル）。

小宮　直（こみや　なおる、Vn）東京藝大卒業、同大学院修了。故・東儀祐二、久合田緑、矢嶋佳子、故・田中千香士、ベラ・カトーナの各氏に師事。アムステルダムにてH・クレッバース氏のもとで研鑽を積む。第３２回文化放送音楽賞受賞。第２回日本モーツァルト音楽コンクール第３位。１９９２年、国際交流基金の派遣でジャパン・クインテットのメンバーとして中南米６都市にて公演。久合田緑弦楽四重奏団、新ヴィヴァルディ合奏団のメンバー等を経て、現在神奈川フィル首席奏者の他、ソロ、室内楽、録音・放送関係等でも活躍中。

伴野 剛（ともの ごう、Va）東京大学理学部中退、東京藝術大学音楽学部卒。これまでにヴィオラを菅沼準二、店村眞積、ヴァイオリンを井崎郁子、バロックヴァイオリンを若松夏美の各氏に師事。東京藝術大学管弦楽研究部首席奏者、ＮＨＫ交響楽団契約団員を経て、現在は菖蒲弦楽三重奏団、横浜シンフォニエッタ、各オーケストラ客演首席奏者などを中心に活動している。

西山　健一（にしやま　けんいち、Vc）東京芸術大学附属音楽高等学校を経て東京芸術大学卒業。在学中にアカンサス音楽賞受賞。また芸大オケと共演。東京芸術大学大学院在学中にNHK交響楽団のオーディションに合格。２００３年入団。第４回全日本ビバホールチェロコンクール入賞。これまでに河野文昭、菊地知也、マーティン・レーアの各氏に師事。

DINO AKIRA DECENA(Vn)
Dino Akira K. Decena came from a family of musicians. He started his formal training at the age of 5 under the tutelage of Mrs. Rosario Cruz. At the age of 7, he was granted a scholarship by the Philippine Research for Developing Instrumental Soloists (PREDIS) to train under world-renowned violinist Professor Basilio Manalo. In 1986, Mr. Decena won the National Music Competition for Young Artists (NAMCYA). In that same year, he was the featured soloist of the PREDIS Orchestra under the baton of Mr. Manalo. Mr. Decena's versatile musical talent extends to playing the viola. In 1998, he became the viola principal of the Manila Symphony Orchestra II. The following year, he was one of the featured violist in the Bamboo Organ Festival together with Maestro Oscar Yatco and former energy minister, Mr. Geronimo Velasco. He finished his musical training in St. Scholastica's College under the direction of Professor Gina Medina. He was formally the Concertmaster of the San Miguel Philharmonic Orchestra until it disbanded in 2007. Currently, Mr. Decena is the Associate Concertmaster of the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra, the nation's leading symphony orchestra.

JOANNA RUTH B. LIVIOCO(Vn)
Joanna Ruth started playing the piano when she was 6 years old and later studied the violin at age 11 at the University of the Philippines Extension Program. She pursued her violin studies in the same school taking up BM Violin under the tutelage of Prof. Arturo Molina. Later, she earned the UP Extension Program Scholarship and graduated cum laude in 2009. She has also been invited to be a member of the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society upon graduation.
At the age of 12, she joined the Metro Manila Community Orchestra and the Manila Symphony Orchestra when she was 15. She attended various master classes and workshops such as the NAMCYA Special Summer Camp under Mr. Coke Bolipata in 2001, UP extension program summer workshop under Prof. Sergio Esmilla, Jr. in 2002, and the Starling - DeLay Symposium in 2003 among others. In 2008, she won 3rd place in the National Music Competition for Young Artists (NAMCYA) in violin category C. She has also become a featured soloist in Paco Park's Independence Day concert series in 2009 and in the years 2010 and 2011, she was accepted to be part of the Asian Youth Orchestra for a 6-week music camp and concert tour.
Presently, she is taking professional studies with Prof. Joseph Esmilla and is the assistant concertmaster of the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra.

JOY ALLAN D. DE LA CRUZ(Va)
Violist Joy Allan Drilon Dela Cruz finished his Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education Major in Viola (cum laude) from the University of Santo Tomas Conservatory of Music in 2001, and was a prize winner at the 2002 National Music Competitions for Young Arists. His perfomances include solo viola recital at CASA San Miguel's Ramon Corpus Hall, San Antonio Zambales, performing the Mozart Sinfonia Concertante with the Pundaquit virtuosi and violinist Alfonso Bolipata, his teacher and mentor; violist in the 2007 Virtuoso Strings Concert; violist of the Pundaquit Chamber Players; Clarion Music Ensemble and the Ramon Corpus StringQuartet; viola masterclass with Alexander Tomescu, Oscar Yatco and Paul Yarbrough, violist of the Alexander String Quartet. He was the former Principal Violist of various orchestras namely: the UST Symphony Orchestra, Metro Manila Community Orchestra, San Miguel Philharmonic Orchestra. At the moment he is the Principal Violist of the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra of the Cultural Center of the Philippines. At present he is a professor at the University of Santo Tomas Conservatory of Music and the Santa Isabel College Music Department where in the latter he is currently enrolled in the Master of Music in Music Education and Viola Performance.

HERRICK ORTIZ(Vc)
Herrick is a member of the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra (PPO). He first studied cello under his aunt Remedios Isleta, then with Eduardo Pasamba and Herminia Ilano. He graduated from the University of the Philippines College of Music under Prof. Wilfredo Pasamba and Eduardo Pasamba. As a student, he was a member of the Philippine Research for Developing Instrumental Soloists (PREDIS) and the Manila Youth Symphony Orchestra (MYSO). Also, he won honorable mention at the 1999 National Music Competition for Young Artists. In 2004, he attended the Asia Suzuki Conference in Taiwan and studied under renowned Suzuki teacher trainors from Korea Prof. Hyun Minja and Professor Lee Si Ok.
Currently, Herrick teaches Suzuki Cello at Greenhills Music Studio and Philippine Suzuki Association (PSA) and already finished his Suzuku training under the supervision of ASA ( Asia Suzuki Association) . He is now acting assistant principal of the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra.

PPO WOODWIND QUARTET
A wind quartet, also sometimes known as a woodwind quartet, is a group of four wind players (most commonly flute, clarinet, french horn and bassoon). The term also applies to a composition for such a group. Unlike the string quartet with its homogeneous blend of color, the instruments in a wind quartet differ from each other considerably in technique, idiom, and timbre. Every member of the PPO Woodwind Quartet is a dedicated orchestra and chamber player. Each has been associated with the most prominent performing ensembles, venues and musical institution in the Philippines and has united in the PPO Woodwind Quartet out of passion for the repertoire and the joy of its performance. Some of its performances include CCP Lobby Concert, Music Seminar and Concert all over the Philippines, 2005 Hiroshima International Music Festival in Hiroshima, Japan, "Concert at the Park" and Paco Park Present's". The current members of PWQ are Rosemarie Poblete, flute; Ariel Sta.Ana, clarinet; Ernani Pascual, horn; and Jerry Samonte, bassoon.

第１回オーストラリア国際フルートコンクール第３位入賞。大阪フィルハーモニー交響楽団フルート奏者として活動後、日本の横笛にて日本音楽集団に入団し現在に至る。87-90年、歌舞伎公演に従事し、主に市川猿之助、中村勘三郎、中村時蔵の公演に参加。冨田勲作曲「源氏幻想交響絵巻」、ディエゴ・ルズリアガ作曲「篠笛と管弦楽の為のコンチェルト」などを初演し内外の交響楽団と共演する。また近年は公演の企画を手掛け、2006年瀬戸内寂聴訳「朗読劇・源氏物語」、小椋桂企画「子供ミュージカル・アルゴ」の音楽、日本音楽集団定期公演「和学劇・呑気布袋"ドン・キホーテ"より」の企画・構成に携る。CDアルバム「Flutist from the East」Vol.1〜4、著書として「邦楽おもしろ雑学事典」「歌舞伎音楽を知る」「和楽器の世界」を出版している。昭和音大、洗足学園、東京藝大、桐朋短大、各講師。

母親に声楽のてほどきを受けたのち、サント・トーマス大学音楽院で学ぶ。大学の合唱団で6年間ソプラノセクションのリーダーを務める。現在サント・トーマス大学音楽院の声楽修士課程在学中。

６歳よりバイオリンを始め、国内で数々のコンクールに優勝及び入賞を果たす。
主な賞歴としては１９９７年度ブリュッセルで行われたエリザベート王妃国際コンクール入賞、１９９８年ジュネーヴ国際コンクール第３位（１位なし）、２００１年アメリカ・インディアナ州で行われたフィショッフ室内楽コンクールにてユーシア弦楽四重奏団の第一バイオリン奏者として第一位などが挙げられる。
国内では、2005年度文化庁芸術祭新人賞、大阪文化祭賞大賞受賞、 2007年度第19回ミュージック・ペンクラブ音楽賞オーディオ部門録音作品賞を受賞と、その芸術家としての認知と評価も非常に高い。

国内外のオーケストラとのソリストとしてもこれまで大阪フィルハーモニー、大阪交響楽団、関西フィルハーモニー、日本センチュリー交響楽団、東京交響楽団、ベトナム国立響、ヴュルテンベルグ・フィルハーモニーなどとの共演も多数ある。近年、日本で最高権威を誇る日本音楽コンクールの審査員としても度々招かれている。
これまでに和波孝禧、森悠子、エドワード・ウルフソン、エドワード・シュミーダーの各氏に師事。これまでシヴィック・オーケストラ・オブ・シカゴのコンサートマスター、ドイツのヴュルテンベルグ・フィルハーモニーの首席コンサートマスター、東京交響楽団コンサートマスター等を経て現在、山形交響楽団ソロ・コンサートマスター、長岡京室内アンサンブルメンバー、いずみシンフォニエッタ大阪メンバー、リリス・チェンバー・オーケストラのリーダー、A Hundred Birds, tokyo.pandaのバイオリニストとしても演奏活動を展開中。

2002年9月設立。日本を代表する作曲家であり、かつその域にとどまらず多様な音楽的、社会的活動を実践して現代日本の音楽文化に多大な功績を遺した故・芥川也寸志氏の志を継ぐべく誕生したオーケストラ。
日本人の交響作品を積極的に演奏していくこと、内外の埋もれた作品に光を当てて紹介していくことといった文化活動のみにとどまらず、さまざまな国（特にアジア）や分野(演奏だけでなく作曲委嘱など)において幅広く交流していくことなど草の根レベルでの国際交流をも活動の柱としている。

2003年2月に開催された設立演奏会（２回シリーズ、紀尾井ホール）は大きな反響を呼び、ライブＣＤも注目を集めた。その後10年間の活動を通して、初演以来埋もれていた日本人作品の蘇演は約90曲、演奏用楽譜を作成した作品は20曲、委嘱作品は７曲、制作・発売されたＣＤは11点、海外で音楽祭を2回(中国、ベトナム)開催するなど、着実に実績を積み重ねている。
蘇演や復刻演奏に当たっては、失われている総譜やオーケストラ演奏用譜の復刻・校訂・製作を行なって、日本の作曲史上における作品の再発見、再評価の機会を自ら創出するとともに、今後の再演の為に譜面類を整備するなど作品の普及にも努めているので、取り組んだ作品の中にはプロフェッショナル、アマチュアを問わず他のオーケストラで再演されたり、ナクソスをはじめとする主要レーベルのＣＤに収録された作品も数多い。
　2011年秋の演奏会のライヴＣＤは、「朝日新聞」「毎日新聞」等のレーコド欄や、「音楽の友」「レコード芸術」「モーストリークラシック」といった専門雑誌でも、高い評価を受けて紹介された。
